The Laser Thickness Gauge utilizes the laser triangulation principle. The system employs laser beams to scan the upper and lower surfaces of the target material. By measuring the actual height of the light spots, it determines the geometric thickness (D = A - B). Since the positions of the upper and lower measurement points are independent of each other, the measurement is not affected by the geometric dimensions of the material.
